The VB6 Developer maintains, enhances, tests, and modernises legacy enterprise applications built in Microsoft Visual Basic 6 and related technologies. Responsibilities include analysing existing functionality, implementing enhancements, resolving defects, supporting integrations, and designing SQL Server databases, stored procedures, and SSIS packages. The role involves full-stack development with VB6 and .NET, WinForms UI/UX work, unit and integration testing, code reviews, and technical documentation. It also contributes to CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, and DevOps practices using Azure DevOps and Git, while supporting migration to contemporary platforms.
