Senior Database Administrator

Support and maintain a diverse enterprise database estate spanning Microsoft SQL Server, IBM Db2 z/OS, IBM Db2 Midrange, and MongoDB, with an immediate emphasis on MongoDB upgrade and migration work. Plan, validate, and implement database upgrades, migrations, and optimisation activities while protecting data integrity, availability, and service continuity. Undertake performance tuning, backup and recovery, replication, and high-availability support, and troubleshoot issues in large, complex ICT environments, including containerised deployments. Produce technical documentation, engage stakeholders, and transfer knowledge by mentoring internal teams through skills-uplifting activities.
