Algorithm Engineer Intern (TikTok Live Revenue) - 2027 Start (PhD)

As an algorithm engineering intern on a live-streaming revenue team, you will build and optimise machine learning systems supporting large-scale live activities. You will analyse activity data, develop strategy models, and design, train and deploy scalable models for recommendation, ranking, targeting and performance optimisation. The role involves working with product and operations teams to define long-term algorithm strategies, and improving model performance, experimentation efficiency and business impact. Candidates should have solid knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, LLMs, agents or causal inference, plus familiarity with recommendation, generation or A/B testing.
