Senior Founding AI-First Product Engineer

Own the end-to-end engineering of an AI-powered anxiety coaching product, acting as the sole technical owner reporting to a non-technical founder. Build and maintain the AI Coach, including prompting, conversation state, retrieval with Pinecone, model selection, evaluation and safety/crisis handling. Develop the backend with Python, FastAPI, GraphQL, SQLAlchemy, PostgreSQL and AWS, and deliver mobile and web apps using React Native and React, including subscriptions and release engineering. Work AI-first with agentic coding tools, evaluation harnesses, CI/CD and production operations, with attention to privacy and security of sensitive health data.
