About the role
Join a renewable energy operations control centre as an intern, learning to monitor and control generation assets via SCADA and respond to real-time events in the National Electricity Market. Interface with network providers and market operators on outages and constraints, analyse electrical performance and dispatch, and support re-bidding strategies. Use VBA, Power BI, SQL and Grafana to analyse operational data, build dashboards, maintain procedures and drive continuous improvement of control centre systems and performance metrics alongside operations and maintenance teams.
